Abstract
A filter device has a filter element () that is exchangeably disposed in a filter housing (). The filter element () is provided on one end with an end cap () that forms a surround for a rim of a filter material (). The end cap () has a connector () attaching the filter element () in an operating position to an element seat () inside the filter housing () such that a fluid-impermeable connection is formed between filter housing () and filter element (). The connector () enables the positionally fixed mounting of the filter element () and the formation of a fluid-impermeable connection in conjunction with element seats () of filter housings () of different designs.
