Abstract

The invention relates to a method for measuring a dental object () using a dental camera (). During measurement, several optical three-dimensional images () of the object () are produced. During measurement, an acoustic sound () is generated by means of a sound producer (), said sound () being used as feedback for the user and information relating to the current status of a recording of the images () and/or relating to image requirements of the dental camera () are transmitted to the user. Then, each individual image () it is automatically checked by a computer () as to whether an overlapping area () between the images () which are to be combined meets the defined recording requirements for a correct recording.
