Abstract

The present invention comprise an elastic piston system for the conversion of solar energy to electrical energy, the system comprising a solar energy concentrator, and at least two solar energy conversion cellsbeing configured to receive the sunlightreflected from the solar energy concentrator. The solar energy conversion cellcomprises at least two elastic pistoncomponents. The elastic pistonsbeing coupled via a conduitfor the transmittal of a predetermined working fluid. The elastic pistonsare configured to receive polarized sunlight and generate electrical energy in response to the reception of the polarized sunlight, The solar energy conversion cell further comprises a controllercomponent, The controllerbeing configured to regulate the compression cycles within the elastic pistoncomponents and extract electrical energy produced within the cell
