Abstract
Disclosed herein is a composition containing turmeric starch for use as a prebiotic plant fiber. Also disclosed is a method to increase the viable counts ofMTCC 5856 by co-culturing with turmeric starch and the production of short chain fatty acids (SCFA) byMTCC 5856 using turmeric starch.
