Provided herein are kits, compositions, and methods for diagnosing and treating interstitial cystitis (IC) and/or interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) based on finding lower levels of certain bacteria in a subject's stool sample (e.g.,, and).
