Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention pertain to a material including a carrier and a co-biocide including copper ions and a biocide such as ZnPT, Tralopyril or a combination thereof. The material may include a copper-containing glass particles or cuprous oxide particles. In some embodiments, the copper-containing glass may include glass phase and a cuprite phase. In other embodiments, the copper-containing glass may include as plurality of Cuions, a degradable phase including BO, POand KO and a durable phase including SiO. In some embodiments, the carrier is a paint.
