Abstract
A method includes making, at a user device, a determination to transition to a standby mode. The method includes sending a message from the user device to a network device in response to the determination. The method includes receiving, in response to the message, an advertising stream at the user device from the network device. The method includes processing the advertising stream at the user device to generate advertising content. The method also includes sending the advertising content to a display device.
