Abstract

An imaging lens system includes first and second lens groups each having a positive optical power (P, P) and a third lens group. During focusing, the second lens group moves. When the first lens group is divided into two groups across, as a boundary, the longest aerial distance (t) among the axial lens-to-lens distances located on the image side of the position of half the total length of the first lens group, the object-side group being a front group and the image-side group being a rear group, the most image-side surface in the front group and the most image-side surface in the rear group are lens surfaces concave to the image side. The conditional formulae 0.2<P/P<0.6, 0.3<P/P<0.9, 0.03<t/t<0.1, and 0.05<t/t<0.14 are fulfilled (P, the optical power of the entire system; t, the aerial distance between the first and second lens groups in the infinity-object-distance condition; t, the total length of the system.
