Abstract

The present invention relates to a protective garment () provided with an inflatable protective device. The inflatable protective device comprises: at least one inflatable bag (), suitable for moving between a rest condition, wherein it is in a deflated status, and an operating condition, wherein it is in an inflated status; an inflator device () coupled to the at least one inflatable bag () and designed for inflating the at least one inflatable bag (), once the inflator device () is triggered; at least one acceleration sensor () suitable for detecting the acceleration undergone by the garment () and a control unit () designed for processing the acceleration data detected by the at least one acceleration sensor () and for sending a triggering signal to the inflator device (), when a crash situation is identified. The protective garment is characterized by further comprising a transmitting unit (), () designed for sending an activation signal () outside the protective garment () when the triggering signal is generated by the control unitand a receiving unit () suitable for receiving a signal () from outside the protective garment () and generating the triggering signal of the inflator device () when the received signal () is recognized as an activation signal. The present invention also relates to a method for inflating an inflatable protective device of a protective garment.
