Abstract

An irradiation condition setting sectionsets irradiation conditions corresponding to the emission angle of radiation emitted from a radiation source. The radiation sourceemits radiation to a breast at a plurality of different emission angles based on the set irradiation conditions. A radiation detectorgenerates a plurality of projection images corresponding to the plurality of emission angles. An image correction sectioncorrects each projection image such that a difference between at least either contrasts or density values in the plurality of projection images is reduced. A reconstruction unitreconstructs a tomographic image based on the plurality of corrected projection images.
