Abstract

A porous carbon material for electrodes of energy storage devices comprising: a porous carbon material; 0.5 to 5 parts by mass of an insulating material having a boiling point of 150° C. or more based on 100 parts by mass of the porous carbon material; and 0.25 to 15 parts by mass of a conductive additive based on 100 parts by mass of the insulating material, wherein the insulating material and the conductive additive are carried on the porous carbon material in combination, and the porous carbon material has a BET specific surface area of 1300 to 2050 m/g.
