Abstract
A magnetic rotation detection apparatus which is capable of suppressing occurrence of assembly failure of components. A gear position sensoris provided with a sensor unitincluding a Hall element, a magnet shaftincluding a magnet, a casehousing the sensor unitand the magnet shaft, and an inner O-ringsealing a gap between the sensor unitand the case. The caseincludes a metal bearingto support the magnet shaft, and the magnet shaftincludes a molded portionto fix the magnet. A thrust plateis arranged between the molded portionand a base plate(circuit board) of the sensor unit, and a spring mechanismis arranged to bias the molded portionto the thrust plate. A minute gap is present between the metal bearingand the magnet shaft
