Abstract

An image forming apparatus () includes a photosensitive drum (), a cleaning blade (), and a drive mechanism (). The cleaning blade () is in pressed contact with a circumferential surface of the photosensitive drum (). The drive mechanism () causes one of the photosensitive drum () and the cleaning blade () to reciprocate in a rotational axis direction (D) of the photosensitive drum (). The drive mechanism () for example causes the photosensitive drum () to reciprocate in the rotational axis direction (D). The photosensitive drum () includes a photosensitive layer (). An outermost layer of the photosensitive layer () contains a plurality of particles.
