Abstract

The invention relates to a mold () for manufacturing an ophthalmic lens or an ophthalmic lens blank called a puck (), equipped with an insert (), said mold comprising a first portion (A) intended to mold the front face of the ophthalmic lens or puck, a second portion (B) intended to mold the back face of the ophthalmic lens or puck and at least one third portion (C) intended to mold a peripheral lateral face of the ophthalmic lens or puck. According to the invention, said mold () comprises at least one recess (BBBB) for positioning the insert (), before and during the molding.
