Abstract
A mounting system () for mounting a light fixture comprises two substantially L-shape designed receiving rails (). The receiving rails () each have a first leg () which is designed to be fastened to a front side of a suspended wall or an underside of a suspended ceiling () on a respective opposite edge of a recess () of the wall or ceiling (). The receiving rails () each further comprise a second leg () which is designed to protrude into the recess () and to carry a light fixture housing () of the light fixture, but without connecting the light housing () rigidly to the first legs () of the receiving rails ().
