Abstract
A method can selectively prepare a compound of formula (IV), where each Rand each Rare independently selected from an alkyl group, an aryl group, a halogenated alkyl group, or a halogenated aryl group of 6 to 10 carbon atoms each Ris an alkane-diyl group, and each Ris hydrogen or an alkyl group. The method involves hydrosilylation of an organohydrogensiloxane oligomer with a carboxylic acid alkenyl ester using an iridium complex catalyst.
