Abstract
A hinge mechanism () for pivotally coupling a door () to a telecommunications chassis () includes an outer hinge arm () configured to be pivotally attached with respect to the chassis () and an inner hinge arm () configured to be pivotally attached with respect to both the outer hinge arm () and the door () of the chassis (). The hinge mechanism () is configured such that when the door () is fully closed, the outer and inner hinge arms () are generally vertically overlapped, and when the door () is fully open, the outer and inner hinge arms () are generally at a perpendicular angle with respect to each other.
