Abstract
An optical component including a resin part having translucency and a phase plate. The phase plate is configured to be disposed on an emitting direction side of a display part capable of emitting linearly polarized light. The resin part is uncontrolled in terms of phase difference. The phase plate is configured to be disposed between the display part and the resin part. The phase plate has three to five times as large retardation as the resin part.
