Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a display apparatus and a method of manufacturing the display apparatus. A display panel includes a liquid crystal cell, a lower polarization filter, and a layer of which at least a pair of edges protrude beyond the liquid crystal cell. Adhesive layers are disposed on side surfaces of the display module. In any one of the side surfaces of the display module, the adhesive layer is adhered to side surfaces of the backlight module, of the lower polarization filter, and of the liquid crystal cell, and a surface, facing towards the backlight module, of the edge of the layer protruding beyond the liquid crystal cell, and has a thickness in a direction perpendicular to the side surface of the liquid crystal cell to which the adhesive layer is adhered, and the thickness is less than or equal to a selected thickness.
