Abstract

An auxiliary steering system () and method for an electric vehicle and the electric vehicle are disclosed. The system includes a detection component (A) including a first electric motor () and a detection controller () configured to determine whether a steering assist device () is normal, to continue to determine whether the steering assist device () is normal if yes, and to control a drive rack (A) of the first electric motor () to drive wheels () of the electric vehicle to return and to output a steering failure signal, a steering wheel torque signal and a direction signal if no; an electric motor controller (); a second electric motor (); and a vehicle controller (). The electric motor controller () is further configured to control the second electric motor () to increase a drive torque for an outer front wheel (), to brake an inner rear wheel (), and to stop driving an inner front wheel () and an outer rear wheel ().
