Abstract

A method for event detection. The method may include receiving an unscheduled message from an MTC device on a communication network during a specific event window, wherein the event message includes an MTC device identifier associated with the MTC device, determining whether the MTC device identifier is associated with the specific event window; and if the MTC device identifier is associated with the specific event window, outputting an event report.
