Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A terminal in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a controller for determining a first size corresponding to a number of bits allocated for a first PMI (precoding matrix indicator) and a second size corresponding to a number of bits allocated for a second PMI; and a transmitting unit for transmitting feedback information, including the first PMI corresponding to the first size and the second PMI corresponding to the second size, to a base station.
