Abstract
[Problem] To provide a universal speaker that efficiently transmits kinetic energy that has been converted from electrical energy of an audio signal to one or more diaphragms, and enables both healthy individuals and the hard of hearing to comfortably hear as a result of higher-volume and sharp emitted-sound. [Solution] This universal speaker () is provided at least with a diaphragm () having a planar shape, a driver unit () for causing the diaphragm to vibrate in accordance with an inputted electrical signal, and an enclosure () with a hollow structure for accommodating the diaphragm and the driver unit. The enclosure has an opening () at one surface, and the driver unit abuts against an end edge of the diaphragm so as to drive in the same direction as the plane direction of the diaphragm and is also fixedly mounted onto the enclosure. The diaphragm forms a curved section that curves going from one end () side where the driver unit is mounted toward the opposing other end () side, and is disposed so as to cover the opening of the enclosure.
