Abstract
A method for compressing IQ data for high speed transport link and an associated device. The method comprises: determining, based on dynamical statistical distribution of the IQ data, one or more parameters of a companding function for a nonlinear companding operation (S); applying the companding function with the determined one or more parameters on the IQ data (S); performing uniform quantization on the IQ data to generate compressed IQ data (S); and transmitting the compressed IQ (S). And a method for decompressing compressed IQ data for high speed transport link, and an associated device.
