Abstract

A battery () of power equipment () is received in a battery receiving recess () of the power equipment. A lower front end of the battery is provided with an engagement portion () configured to be engaged by a rib () provided in a lower part of the front end of the battery receiving recess. A first sheet spring member () is provided in a rear part of a bottom surface of the battery receiving recess to urge the battery upward. A latch member () provided in a rear end part of the battery receiving recess engages a rear end of the battery against the spring force of the first sheet spring member.
