Abstract

Disclosed herein is a method for connecting first () and second () plastic pipes. The method includes: placing an end of the second plastic pipe () on a target portion of the first plastic pipe () that is intended to form a connection hole (), the end of the second plastic pipe () being provided with an arch-shaped heating element () made of conductive plastic material, electric connection terminals () disposed in the heating element () on opposite sides of the target portion, and a cover () covering at least an outer surface of the arch-shaped heating element (); supplying power to the electric connection terminals () to heat the arch-shaped heating element () so that the second plastic pipe () is fused to the first plastic pipe (); and forming the connection hole () in the cover (), the arch-shaped heating element () and the side surface of the first plastic pipe (), so that the first plastic pipe () and the second plastic pipe () communicate with each other.
