Abstract

In spacious areas or building complexes, it is customary to use monitoring systems that comprise monitoring cameras and other monitoring sensors that record monitoring data and forward said monitoring data to a monitoring control centre or the like for the purpose of evaluation. Depending on the size of the monitored area, the complexity of the monitoring system can increase to a great extent. Upwards of a certain size of monitoring area, it is necessary for several monitoring persons also to be employed in parallel in order to inspect the monitoring data. A monitoring installationfor a monitoring area B having a plurality of monitoring stationsfor usersof the monitoring installation, wherein the monitoring installationis designed to assign a respective user ID ID_, ID_, ID_, ID_to the usersof the monitoring installation, wherein the monitoring stationseach have a display device, wherein the monitoring stationsare designed to present a user interfacefor the monitoring installationhaving a modelof the monitoring areaon the display device, and having a collaboration device, wherein the collaboration deviceis designed to show a first of the user IDs ID_6from a first monitoring stationtogether with an associated piece of user information as collaboration data with the modelon the user interfaceof at least one second monitoring station, is proposed.
