Abstract

The invention relates to systems and methods for improving the appearance of the skin. The systems comprise 1) a skin-tightening composition comprising (a) at least one film former; (b) at least one polyvalent silicate thickener; (c) at least one anionic associative polymeric thickener; (d) at least one plasticizer; and (e) optionally, at least one cosmetic powder, and 2) a long-wear cosmetic composition comprising at least one silicone-polyamide copolymer, at least one silicone film former, and at least one volatile oil. Methods comprise applying the compositions of the systems on to the skin sequentially after a drying period.
