A conveyed document reading region () has: a document discharge guide () arranged downstream of an image reading position () in a document conveyance direction; and a transparent reading sheet () provided along a surface of the contact glass () and a surface of the document discharge guide (), the document conveyance section () has a reading guide () forming a document conveyance path oppositely to the conveyed document reading region (), and the reading guide () has, on part of a surface opposing the conveyed document reading region (), a black reference member () optically read by an image reading section () for the purpose of correcting black reference data of an image of the document conveyed by the document conveyance section () and read by the document reading device ().
