Abstract

A method for operating a defibrillator including an aural output device includes causing the output device to deliver a first verbal instruction which includes a prompt to call an emergency response system; determining if the user elects to have the defibrillator continue on to a second instruction; and if it is determined that the user elects to have the defibrillator continue on to the next instruction, causing the defibrillator to deliver the second verbal instruction.
