Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, an apparatus according to aspects of a communication system that shares a channel with another communication system may include at least one processor and at least one transceiver. The at least one processor may be configured to determine a transmission timing of an initial signal based on a parameter for the initial signal that indicates that the apparatus occupies a channel and at least one detection interval for detecting a signal of the another communication system. The at least one transceiver is configured to transmit the initial signal according to the transmission timing.
