Abstract

A method of operating a hearing aid system () based on processing two groups of interleaved frequency bands such that one of the two groups of frequency bands is attenuated with respect to the other and such that it alternates with time whether one or the other of the two groups are attenuated and a hearing aid system () for carrying out the method.
