Abstract

A luminaire according to the invention has at least a number of illuminants and a reflection apparatus deflecting light radiation emitted by the illuminants into an illumination region, wherein a presence detection apparatus is assigned to the luminaire. In order to improve the control of every luminaire in view of the presence of a person and in order to further reduce the energy consumption, the reflection apparatus is, at least at points, embodied as a detection-reflection apparatus and electromagnetic detection radiation in particular is deflectable in the direction of the presence detection apparatus by way of the detection-reflection apparatus. The presence detection apparatus is arranged adjacent to the illuminants in the luminaire. The invention likewise relates to a method for presence detection, wherein electromagnetic detection radiation in particular is deflected in the direction of the present detection apparatus by way of a detection-reflection apparatus.
