Abstract

The invention relates to a chop saw for a cutting machine, having an axis of rotation () and comprising a circular first sawtooth disk () and a first carrier () holding the first sawtooth disk (), wherein the first saw tooth disk () has a plurality of sawteeth () over the circumference thereof and/or on the flat surfaces thereof, and wherein the first carrier () is symmetrical along the axis of rotation (), and wherein the first carrier () has, on a first carrier surface (), a retaining mandrel () for holding the chop saw () in a machine chuck of the cutting machine, and wherein the first sawtooth disk () is positioned on a second carrier surface () of the first carrier (), which faces away from the first carrier surface (), and wherein the chop saw () has a second sawtooth disk (), which is arranged parallel to the first sawtooth disk (). According to the invention, an outside first disk diameter (DA) of the first sawtooth disk () is smaller than an outside second disk diameter (DA) of the second sawtooth disc (), and an axial distance (A) is formed between the first sawtooth disk () and the second sawtooth disk ().
