Abstract
In a method for determining the 3D coordinates of an object a pattern () is projected onto the object () by a projector (), the light reflected by the object () is captured by a camera (), and the shots recorded by the camera () are evaluated. Reference marks () on and/or beside the object () are recorded by a reference camera (). The reference camera () has a larger field of view () than the camera (). To improve such method, the reference camera () is connected with the camera () or with a 3D sensor () which comprises the projector () and the camera ().
