Abstract

A cross-type limit switch () with a housing () that contains a gear mechanism () that includes a cover plate (), base plate (), and intermediate plate (). The intermediate plate () has first and second cutouts () within which respective gearwheels () are arranged. The first and second gear wheels () have respective plugthrough openings (), and a shaft () coupled to an actuating lever () outside the housing is rotatably mounted in a first bearing arrangement () connected to the housing. The actuating lever shaft () extends through the first plugthrough opening () of the first gear wheel () for rotating and radially locating the first gear wheel (). A rotary switch () arranged in the housing () has a switch shaft () rotatably mounted in a second bearing arrangement () that extend through the second plugthrough opening () of the second gearwheel for rotating and radially locating the second gearwheel ().
