Abstract
A paper sheet handling machine (for example, a banknote handling machine) includes a lower assemblythat includes a plurality of storage units (such as a banknote storage bagor banknote storage cassette) for storing the paper sheet sent from a transporting unitof an upper assemblyand a controlling unitconfigured to perform control to sort the paper sheet, to be sent from the transporting unitof the upper assemblyto the lower assembly, to each of the storage units based on a predetermined classification condition designated in advance.
