Abstract
A system () for viewing a gemstone, the system () including a first light source () configured for selectably illuminating at least one of a plurality of features of the gemstone; an optical magnifying unit () configured for providing a magnified view of the plurality of the features of the gemstone in which at least one of the plurality of features of the gemstone is selectably illuminated by the first light source (); and a viewing display unit () configured for displaying a representation of the magnified view.
