Abstract

A heated patient tube assembly that carries and warms fluids to a desired temperature includes an elongated hollow tube and a heating assembly at least partially embedded within the tube for heating the tube and fluids carried in the tube. The heated patient tube assembly can be selectively used in any combination of three different modes: a first mode in which the heating assembly is connected to a control assembly, a second mode in which the heating assembly is powered wirelessly, and a third mode in which the tube is inserted into and heated by an external warming device.
