Abstract
The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteryaccording to the present invention is provided with an electrode bodyincluding a positive electrodethat contains a positive electrode active material and a negative electrodethat contains a negative electrode active material, a non-aqueous electrolyte, and a battery casethat houses the electrode body and the non-aqueous electrolyte. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a complex, which contains copper (I) chloride as a constituent component and which is capable of adsorbing at least carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, and a coating film that contains at least one of phosphorus and boron is formed on the surface of the negative electrode active material.
