Abstract

A hollow fiber module (') is made by inserting a bundle of hollow fibers () into a housing (′) that has an end closed by a cap (). A fluid first component () that can assume a solid state is introduced into a space adjacent the cap () and forms a spacer into which ends of the hollow fibers () project. A fluid curable second component () is introduced before the first component () via a second inflow () and is cured to form a sealing layer () that embeds the bundle of hollow fibers () and seals it with respect to the adjacent housing wall (′). The cap () is removed from the module housing (′) along with the first component () and ends of the hollow fibers () embedded in the first component ().
