The present disclosure provides a compound for releasing nitric oxide; the compound has the structure of formula (I): The present disclosure also provides a pharmaceutical composition containing the compound of formula (I). The present disclosure further provides a method of releasing nitric oxide, the method includes: administrating the compound of formula (I). The present disclosure also provides a method of treating disease in a patient, the method includes administrating a therapeutically effective amount of the compound of formula (I).
