Abstract

An electronic device includes a control unit and an acceptance unit to accept an operation to move a selected location on a screen in which items are positioned. When moving a particular item not located in a first direction at an end of selectable locations, the particular item is moved in the first direction. Where the particular item is located in the first direction at the end of the selectable locations, the particular item is not moved. In response to selecting a selectable locations without moving any item, a selected location is moved to a location in the first direction from the location being currently selected. Where the location in the first direction being currently selected is at the end of the selectable locations, the selected location is moved, in a direction opposite the first direction, from the location being currently selected to a location at a selectable locations end.
