The disclosure includes a control method for test strip electrodes. The method can include inserting a test strip into a glucose meter and applying a predetermined voltage to the working electrode W of the test strip. The Method can also include applying a sample to the test strip and acquiring real-time data of current generation at the electrodes Rand Rof the test strip. Some embodiments can also include determining whether the electrode Rgenerates current earlier than the electrode Ror not.
