Abstract
In general, techniques are described for filtering duplicate broadcast, unknown unicast, and multicast (BUM) packets in a network in which EVPN traffic is tunneled, using a tunneling protocol such as VXLAN or NVGRE, over an IP core network to provide network virtualization overlay (NVO) between provider edge (PE) devices that operate as Network Virtualization Endpoints (NVEs) for the NVO/Virtual Tunnel Endpoints (VTEPs) for the tunneling protocol.
