A system for a vehicle () having a driver's cabin () and a rearward extending portion () that is pivotable with respect to the driver's cabin (), for capturing a rear part () of the rearward extending portion (), the system having at least two wheel sensors () located on opposite ends of an axis () of the rearward extending portion (), for acquiring information on a rotational movement of wheels attached to the ends of the axis (), and a control unit () connected with the wheel sensors (), which control unit determines the rear part () of the rearward extending portion () based on the acquired information on the rotational movement of the wheels.
