Abstract
The object of the invention is to provide a method for developing a novel species by means of interspecific crossbreeding among(DC.:Fr.) Quel.,(DC.:Fr.) Quel. var.(DC.:Fr.) Quel. var.C. J. Mou and(DC.:Fr.) Quel., which are not native in Japan, and(Jacq.: Fr.) Kummer, which is native in Japan and the novel species obtained by the method and is also to provide a novel species ofspp. carrying both a(DC.:Fr.) Quel. gene and a(Jacq.: Fr.) Kummer gene by crossbreeding(Jacq.: Fr.) Kummer with(DC.:Fr.) Quel. var.C. J. Mou,(DC.:Fr.) Quel. or(DC.:Fr.) Quel. var.Lanzi, thereby obtaining a strain capable of further crossbreeding with(DC.:Fr.) Quel.,(DC.:Fr.) Quel. var.or the like.
