Abstract

A liquid-crystal display device includes a display panel connected to first to ngate lines and first to ncontrol lines, where n is a natural number greater than one, and a gate driving unit which sequentially applies first to ngate signals having a first pulse width to the first to ngate lines, respectively, for a unit frame, where the first to ncontrol lines are sorted into first to kcontrol line groups, where k is a natural number greater than one and less than n, the gate driving unit sequentially applies first to kcontrol signals having a second pulse width to the first to kcontrol line group, respectively, for the unit frame, and the first pulse width is smaller than the second pulse width.
