An apparatus for removing fluid, such as condensate, from the inside of a rotating cylinder. The apparatus comprises a syphon shoeproximate to an inside surfaceof the rotating cylinder. The syphon shoeis connected to a syphon pipe. The syphon shoefurther comprises two opposing circumferential openingsand a divider. The two opposing circumferential openingsare disposed substantially parallel to the direction of rotation of the rotating cylinder.
