Abstract

A monitoring system is provided for monitoring a status of current supply through a current supply conductorin an electrical housingA current transformerand a monitoring circuitmonitor the conductorin the housingThe monitoring circuitis powered by current induced in the transformer from current in the conductor. The monitoring circuitis configured to output a signal on an output lineindicating whether the current in the conductor is on or off. The monitoring circuitis connected to at least one of a display deviceand a door interlockof a door of the housingto, respectively, indicate whether the current in the conductoris on or off and to prevent the doorof the housingfrom opening when the signal on the output lineindicates that the current is on.
